Italian Fashion Brand Marella recently hosted an elegant trunk show and cocktail reception in its boutique at the Abu Dhabi Mall. Operating under the prominent Qatar based multinational company, Al Siddiqui Holding and a part of the internationally renowned Max Mara Group, Marella’s new boutique is the third one in the UAE but the first one to be managed by Al Siddiqui Retail.

Held on the evening of the 10th of February, the event was the perfect platform to introduce the brand and its unique new boutique to the city. As part of the celebrations, the brand collaborated with well-known fashion stylist and consultant Amal Tayysir who sent out exclusive invites to VIP local and expatriate women in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, the event witnessed the attendance of young, trendy and extremely popular UAE fashion blogger, Nadya Hasan who carried out social activation on her blog prior to the event. As part of the celebrations, a stylish trunk show was held at the event in a bid to unveil the brand’s SS16 collection in the city. Marella’s new collection celebrates Spring/ Summer 2016 without falling into banality. Clothes express lightness, vitality and energy, like the season to which they are dedicated, without losing the practicality and functionality of the brand. Everything follows vaguely 70’s shapes, but denim withdraws any exotic vibe. The silhouettes evoke a journey: kimono jacquard jackets or clean-cut blouses match fluid pants and maxi vests, creating a new idea of the suit in neutral hues, light as bamboo.
